Three more language territories for Annukka Salama’s youth romance book The Melting Point (Sulamispiste, WSOY 2025). VR Editoras has bought the world Spanish rights, Rahva Raamat has secured the Estonian rights of the book. Bastei Lübbe’s imprint One Verlag has acquired the German rights to The Melting Point, alongside with the rights to Salama’s upcoming book.
The world Spanish rights to Mia Kankimäki’s Things That Make One’s Heart Beat Faster (Asioita jotka saavat sydämen lyömään nopeammin, Otava 2013) have been bought by Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial Mexico.
Bonnier Rights
The Estonian rights to Hassan Blasim’s short story collection Sololand (WSOY 2021) have been acquired by Loomingu Raamatakogu, while Swedish rights go to Albert Bonniers Förlag.

The Italian Cue Press is publishing Marjo Niemi’s A Low-Budget War Film (Pienen budjetin sotaelokuva, Teos 2025).
Maija Kajanto’s Winter City Lights (Talvikaupungin valot, WSOY 2025) has been sold to the Slovakian publisher Grada.
The Swedish rights to My Friend Vakko (Ystäväni Vakko, Tammi 2026), the upcoming children’s book of Timo Parvela and Pasi Pitkänen have been required by Bonnier Carlsen.
Adriano Salani Editore has bought the Italian rights to Hannu Sokala’s The 50 Most Dangerous Families in the World (Maailman 50 vaarallista sukua, Nemo 2023).

Fulgencio Pimentel S. L. has acquired the Spanish rights to the following books: The Dangerous Journey (Den farliga resan, Förlaget 1977), Skurken i Muminhuset (An Unwanted Guest, Förlaget 1980), Who Will Comfort Toffle? (Vem ska trösta knyttet?, Förlaget 1960) and The Book about Moomin, Mymble and Little My (Hur gick det sen: Boken om Mymlan, Mumintrollet och Lilla My, Förlaget 1952).
The Slovakian rights to Jansson’s The True Deceiver (Den ärliga bedragaren, Förlaget 1982) has been bought by Artforum spol.
The Danish imprint of Gyldendal has acquired the rights to several books of Tove Jansson: The Summer Book (Sommarboken, Förlaget 1972), The Doll’s House (Dockskåpet, Förlaget 1978), The True Deceiver (Den ärliga bedragaren, Förlaget 1982), The Field of Stones (Stenåkern, Förlaget 1984), Travelling Light (Resa med lätt baggage, Förlaget 1987) and Fair Play (Rent spel, Förlaget 1989)
The children’s books of Mauri Kunnas are being published in Bulgaria and Lithuania. Damyan Yakov Publishers has secured the Bulgarian rights to Mr. Clutterbuck’s Funny Hobbies (Herra Hakkarainen harrastaa, Otava 2014) and to The Merry Christmas Book – 24 Joyful Traditions (Hurjan hauska joulukirja, Otava 2025). The Lithuanian Nieko Rimto has also bought the rights to The Merry Christmas Book, alongside with Santa Claus and the Magic Drum (Joulupukki ja noitarumpu, Otava 1995).
The Estonian rights of Aino Havukainen’s and Sami Toivonen’s Tatu and Patu Have a Problem and Know How to Solve It (Tatun ja Patun 14 outoa ongelmaa ja ratkaisut niihin, Otava 2025) have been sold to Oü Hea Lugu.
The Polish publisher Grupa Wydawnicza Relacja has acquired Ulla Rask’s Cold Sea series: Blanka, Daughter of the Baltic Sea (Blanka, Itämeren tytär, WSOY 2025), In the Shadows of the Seven Spires (Seitsemän tornin varjoissa, WSOY 2026) and the third book which title is to be announced later (coming in 2027).
