Annie Prime and Owen Witesman have been selected as translators-in-residence for the programme run by HIAP (the Helsinki International Artist Programme) and FILI from 29 February–20 March 2016.
Annie Prime from UK translates from Swedish and is working on Maresi: Krönikor från Röda klostret by Maria Turtschaninoff. Owen Witesman from US continues with Leena Lehtolainen’s Maria Kallio detective novels.
A total of 32 translators applied for the residency this year — last year the number was 12.
