FILI will be present at the Gothenburg Book Fair in Sweden, 24–27 September. We will be part of the Finnish collective stand located at C 02:21.
We will be bringing along Finnish comic artists Ville Tietäväinenand JP Ahonen, whose graphic novels are coming out in Swedish translation. Tietäväinen’s Invisible Hands (original title:Näkymättömät kädet) is published by Epix, while JP Ahonen andKP Alanen’s Perkeros is published by Cobolt Förlag (translated by Mårten Westö). A promotional grant has also been awarded to Kalle Hakkola. Hakkola and Mari Ahokoivu’s children’s bookSanni and Joonas – Winter Night (original title: Sanni ja Joonas – Talviyö) will be published in September by Rabén & Sjögren inEmil Johansson’s Swedish translation, entitled Sanni och Jonas – Vinternatt.
FILI is teaming up to stage a mini-programme of talks on the Comics Stage on Friday 25 September:
