In 2025, FILI will focus on French-speaking Europe and continue with focus on German-speaking Europe after last year’s It’s Finland Again! project. FILI will aim to maximise the visibility of new and forthcoming French and German translations of Finnish literature. Publishers in French- and German-speaking Europe will be guaranteed a translation subsidy of 70% of the translator’s fee, provided that applications meet the demanded criteria, and FILI’s advisory board must approve the application when it meets to make grant decisions.
