Beginning translators’ course in Helsinki

FILI and the Finnish National Agency for Education arrange the tenth beginning translators’ course in August. The course has been held every two years since 2002 and this year’s edition will take place from 19 to 30 August.

The course will be led by Polish translator and author Sebastian Musielak. A total of 16 participants who translate into 10 different languages have been selected to take part.

The aim of the course is to prepare participants to work as professional literary translators. Participants must have a sufficient level of Finnish and be interested in literature.
