FILI is here for you! We can help you with information on Finnish literature, making connections with literary agents, and applying for grants if you want to publish Finnish literature in translation or commission a reader’s report on a Finnish book.
FILI can help with networking, but we don’t sell rights or represent authors or books ourselves.
Editors’ Week fellowship programme
FILI has an Editors’ Week fellowship programme when we bring publishers and literary scouts from around the world to Finland to learn about Finland’s literary and publishing landscape. We organise visits for publishers and editors of fiction, non-fiction and children’s/YA books. If you’d like to find out more about our Editors’ Week programme, get in touch with Päivi Haarala ().
We also hold virtual Editors’ Coffee Break and Let’s Talk Books! events for publishers and editors. Upcoming dates for these events are posted on our website and in our newsletter.
How can we help you?
We’d be delighted to meet you in person at a book fair or online. Get in touch and we’ll arrange a meeting! We attend major international publishing fairs (in London, Bologna, Gothenburg and Frankfurt) every year.
Are you looking for a literary translator or someone to write a reader’s report? You can search the directory of translators on Kääntöpiiri.
