The rights to Tiina Raevaara’s A Short History of Eternal Life (Ikuisen elämän lyhyt historia, Like), from Elina Ahlback Literary Agency, have been obtained in five new countries: by Salani Editore in Italy, by HAUM in South Korea, by Uitgeverij De Bezige Bij in Netherlands, by Flatiron Books in English world and Planeta Mexico in Spanish world.
Three publishers from Estonia (Vocebianca), Croatia (Fraktura) and Lithuania (Kitos Knygos) have obtained the rights of the entire Pirkko Saisio’s Helsinki Trilogy (Pienin yhteinen jaettava, Vastavalo and Punainen erokirja, WSOY), from Helsinki Literary Agency.
The German rights to Anu Ojala’s Silk Road North series (Jääsilkkitie, Like) from Helsinki Literary Agency have been obtained by Droemer Knaur.
The Bulgarian rights to the first two books of Satu Rämö’s HILDUR series (Hildur and Rósa & Björk, WSOY) from Helsinki Literary Agency have been obtained by Perseus Publishing House.
The Portuguese rights to Kaija Puura’s How to Raise the World’s Happiest Children! (Näin kasvatat lapsestasi mukavan aikuisen, WSOY) from Bonnier Rights Finland have been obtained by Editora Pergaminho.
The German rights to Maisku Myllymäki’s The Guard! (Valvoja, WSOY) from Bonnier Rights Finland have been obtained by Kampa Verlag.
The Estonian rights to Pauliina Susi’s Tuuli Raja series (Yksityisalue, Sähkö ilmassa, Polttopiste, Tuuliajoilla, Tammi) from Bonnier Rights Finland have been obtained by Ühinenud Ajakirjad and to Maija Kajanto’s Citrus Spring (Sitruunakevät, WSOY) have been acquired by Hae Lugu.
Aino Havukainen and Sami Toivonen’s Tatu and Patu’s Odd Inventions Throughout the Ages’ (Tatun ja Patun kummat keksinnöt kautta aikojen, Otava) Croatian rights have been acquired by Ibis Grafika D.o.o, from Rights & Brands.
The Icelandic rights to Mauri Kunnas’Little Book of Emotions (Pieni tunteiden kirja, Otava) from Rights & Brands have been acquired by Króníka Ehf.
The Iranian rights to Linda Liukas’ Hello Ruby: Robot’s First Day at School and Hello Ruby: Adventures in Coding (Otava) from Rights & Brands have been acquired by Iranban Publications.Tove Jansson’s Sun City’s (Solstaden. Förlaget) Estonian rights have been acquired by Oü Hea Lugu, from Rights & Brands.
