Bologna Children’s Book Fair 4.–7.4.2016

FILI will take part in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair from 4th-7th April. Our display shelf will be located in section 30 C 18.

Changes to FILI’s grant payments

The next application period for FILI’s grants begins on April 1st . We will now be reverting back to retrospective payments.

Hiroko Motai & Marika Maijala: ‘Million Billion Santa Clauses’ sold to Germany

Fischer Verlag has bought the German rights to Hiroko Motai’s & Marika Maijala’s Million Billion Santa Clauses from Helsinki Literary Agency.

FILI at Helsinki Book Fair

On Friday 23.10 FILI will host the traditional translators’ get together at the Fair. The event will begin at 17.00.
We have also invited to Finland some literary experts from Russia – this year’s Country in the Spotlight – and have arranged the three public discussions with them. See our calendar of events for more info.

FILI’s translators-in-residence selected

Annie Prime and Owen Witesman have been selected as translators-in-residence for the programme run by HIAP (the Helsinki International Artist Programme) and FILI from 29 February–20 March 2016.
