Hiroko Motai & Marika Maijala: ‘Million Billion Santa Clauses’ sold to Germany
Fischer Verlag has bought the German rights to Hiroko Motai’s & Marika Maijala’s Million Billion Santa Clauses from Helsinki Literary Agency.

On Friday 23.10 FILI will host the traditional translators’ get together at the Fair. The event will begin at 17.00.
We have also invited to Finland some literary experts from Russia – this year’s Country in the Spotlight – and have arranged the three public discussions with them. See our calendar of events for more info.

FILI’s translators-in-residence selected
Annie Prime and Owen Witesman have been selected as translators-in-residence for the programme run by HIAP (the Helsinki International Artist Programme) and FILI from 29 February–20 March 2016.

HIAP (the Helsinki International Artist Programme) and FILI offer a residency programme for translators of Finnish literature at Suomenlinna near Helsinki. The next three-week-long residency has been booked from 29 February to 20 March 2016. Deadline for submitting applications is 31 May.
