Quite of a busy month for Finnish books!

Last weeks, Oü Hea Lugu has obtained the Estonian rights to Tove Jansson’s based Moominmamma’s Garden: Flowers (Muumimamman puutarha – pihamaan kukat, WSOY 2025) from Rights & Brands.

Speaking of Tove Jansson’s work, Finn Family Moomintroll (Trollkarlens hatt, 1948) TÄSTÄ PUUTTUU KUSTANTAJA, while Singel Uitgeverijen has bought the Dutch rights to The True Deceiver (Den ärliga bedragaren, 1982). Both books’ rights via Rights & Brands.

Cappelen Damm has acquired the Norwegian rights to three of Riina and Sami Kaarla’s and Anders Vacklin’s Moomin and Little My series: Family and Friends (Muumi ja Pikka Myy: Perhe ja ystävät, Tammi 2020), Numbers (Muumi ja Pikka Myy: Numerot, Tammi 2023) and Every Weather (Muumi ja Pikka Myy: Joka säällä, Tammi 2024) from Rights & Brands.

HarperCollins Polska has obtained the Polish rights to two of Riina and Sami Kaarla’s Little My series: Rulers of the Jungle (Täältä tulee pikku Myy: Viidakon Valtiaat) and Wild Guests (Täältä tulee pikku Myy: Villit vieraat), also from Rights & Brands.

Gelmés Publishers has acquired the Lithuanian rights to Joel Haahtela’s The Sould Painter’s Evening (Sielunpiirtäjän ilta, Otava 2025) from Rights & Brands.

Cerkabella Könyvek has obtained the Hungarian rights to Aino Havukainen’s and Sami Toivonen’s Tatu and Patu – Ready Steady Go (Tatu ja Patu – Paikoillenne, valmiit, hep!, Otava 2024) from Rights & Brands.

Herta Kirjastus Oü has acquired the Estonian rights to Pinja Meretoja’s Boobology: A Book About the Meanings, Myths, Burdens, and Liberation of Breats (Tissilogia: Tietoteos rintojen merkityksestä, myyteistä, painolastista ja vapautumisesta, Tammi 2025) from Rights & Brands.

Äripäev has obtained the Estonian rights to Maaret Kallio’s Power of Hope (Voimana toivo, WSOY 2020) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Estonian rights to Liisa Keltikangas-Järvinen’s The Age of Selfishness (Itsekkyyden aika, WSOY 2026)have also been sold by Rahva Raamat. Non-fiction book’s rights via Bonnier Rights Finland.

Icelandic rights to Satu Rämö’s and Sigríður Sif Gylfadóttir’s Hildur Sweaters (Hildur-villapaidat, WSOY 2025) from Bonnier Rights Finland have been acquired by Forlagið.

Editura Vellant has acquired the Romanian rights to the first two books of Cristal Snow’s and Kati Vuorento’s Penny Peanutheart series: Penny Peanutheart and the Wretched Banishment Cake (Penni Pähkinäsydän ja kauhea kadotuskakku, Tammi 2020) and Penny Peanutheart and the Curse of the Brute Bug (Penni Pähkinäsydän ja mörkökuumeen kirous, Tammi 2021) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Eesti Raamat has acquired the Estonian rights to Jukka Behm’s Hammersmith United trilogy: Wonderboy (Ihmepoika Leon, Tammi 2023), Angel’s Fist (Enkelin nyrkki, Tammi 2024) and The Scorpion’s Sting (Skorpionin isku, Tammi 2025) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Portál has acquired the Czech rights to Kaisa Happonen’s children’s book A Bear Called Mur (Mur, eli Karhu, Tammi 2016) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Aminori has obtained the Latvian rights to Siiri Enoranta’s Noctural Lifelines (Keuhkopuiden uni, Gummerus 2024) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Atlantic Books UK has acquired the World English rights to eight of Enni Amanda’s books from Ahlbäck Agency: The Holiday Grump (Lumi Publishing 2025), The Fall Roomie (2026), Love New Zealand series (Nights and Day, Nest or Invest and Hidden Gem, Lumi Publishing 2023) and Sisu Lakes series (2027).

Naklada Ljevak has bought the Croatian rights to Sara Al Husaini’s novel A Disobedient Girl (Huono tyttö, Like 2023), also from Ahlbäck Agency. Hea Lugu has obtained the Estonian rights to Michaela von Kügelgen’s second book of her Villa Hilda series, Home to the Island (Hem till Halsterö, Schildts & Söderströms 2026) from Ahlbäck Agency.
