Last week, Förlaget M has published the Finnish version of Boel Westin and Helen Svensson’s Letters from Tove (Brev från Tove Jansson) from Rights & Brands.

Oü Hea Lugu has acquired the Estonian rights to Moominpappa’s Bird Book (Muumipapan lintukirja, WSOY 2025) from Rights & Brands. From the very same literary agency, Ugla Utgafa from Iceland has made a 4 book-deal and obtained the Icelandic rights to Moomin 80: Friends Activity Book (Muumi 80: Ystävien puuhakirja, Otava 2025), Moomin 80: Activity Party (Muumi 80: Puuhajuhlat, Otava), Moomin 80: Sticker Party (Muumi 80: Tarrajuhlta Puuhakirja, Otava) and Riina and Sami Kaarla’sMoomin and Little My: Feelings (Muumi ja Pikku Myy: Tunteet, Tammi 2019). All books inspired by Tove Jansson’s work.

Sort of Ltd. has acquired the English worldwide rights to Sophia Jansson’s Three Islands – Father, Mother and Me (Tre Öar – mamma, pappa och jag, Förlaget 2025) from Rights & Brands.

Kirjastus Eesti Raamat has acquired the Estonian rights to Ulla Rask’s Blanka, Daughter of the Baltic Sea (Blanka, Itämeren tytär, WSOY 2025) from Rights & Brands.

Italian rights to Dr. Jennifer De Paola’s The Happiness Puzzle (2026) from Ahlback Literary Agency have already been bought by Newton Compton Editori!

Hart has emptied the Slovenian rights to Anu Ojala’s Silk Road North (Jääsilkkitie, Like 2021) from Helsinki Literary Agency, while Danish rights to Selja Ahava’s He Who Saw The Deep (Hän joka syvyydet näki, Gummerus 2025) has been obtained by Jensen & Dalgaard.

Also from Helsinki Literary Agency, Kawade Shobo Shinsha has acquired the Japanese rights to Juhani Karila’s Fishing For The Little Pike (Pienen hauen pyydystys, Siltala Publishing 2019).

Septime has acquired the German rights to Linnea Kuuluvainen’s Thick of the Forest (Metsän peitto, Gummerus 2024) from Helsinki Literary Agency. Ayabakan has acquired the Turkish rights to Laura Lindstedt and Sinikka Vuola’s 101 Ways to Kill Your Husband (101 tapaa tappaa aviomies, Siltala 2022) from Helsinki Literary Agency.
