About October’s last weeks’ book deals

As Sinisukk has obtained the Estonian rights to Mauri Kunnas’s Merry Christmas Book (Hurjan hauska joulukirja, Otava 2025) from Rights & Brands.

Krainaksiazek.pl Sp. z o.o has obtained the Polish rights to Mauri Kunna’s Canine Kalevala (Koirien Kalevala, Otava 1992) from Rights & Brands.

Leidykla Helios Oühas acquired Lituanian rights to Katri Kirkkopelto’s both Molli’s Christmas (Mollin joulu, Lasten Keskus 2022) and Molli and the Magnificent Pet (Molli ja suurenmoinen lemmikki, Lasten Keskus 2024) from Rights & Brands.

Katri Kirkkopelto’s Lovely Molli (Ihana Molli, Lasten Keskus 2024) and Molli’s Wild Emotions (Molli ja hurrrjat tunteet, Lasten Keskus 2025)’s Estonian rights have been sold emptied by Helios Kirjastus Oü. Picture books from Rights & Brands.

Cappalen Damn As has obtained the Norwegian rights to Moominvalley Knits (Muumilaakson neuleet, Otava 2025) book from Rights & Brands.

Havukainen and Toivonen’s Tatu and Patu: This is Finland (Tatun ja Patun Suomi, Otava 2007) and Tatu and Patu Have a Problem and Know How to Solve It (Tatun ja Patun 14 outoa ongelmaa ja ratkaisut niihiin, Otava 2025) children picture books’ Thai rights have been bought by Nava Publishing CO, Ltd. Books from Rights & Brands.

Ibis Grafika D. o.o. has emptied the Croatian rights to Havukainen and Toivonen’s Tatu and Patu’s Fantasy Adventure (Tatun ja Patun fantasiaseikkailu, Otava 2023) from Rights and Brands.

Bogoo has acquired the Danish rights to Venny Helén’s first volume of Rambo’s Stables series, Mystery of the Missing Horses (Kadonneiden hevosten mysteeri, WSOY 2024) from Bonnier Rights Finland. Tammerraamat has emptied the Estonian rights to both first volumes of this very same series from Bonnier Rights Finland: Mystery of the Missing Horses and The Midnight Horse (Yön hevonen, WSOY 2024).

Leena Paasio’s Home Harbour series’ first novel’s Estonian rights have been acquired by Rahva Raamat (The Wind Turns South, Tuuli kääntyy etelään, WSOY 2025). Book from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Äripäev has bought the Estonian rights to Pekka Tölli’s I See You: The Psychology of Appreciation (Minä näen sinut. Arvostuksen psykologia, Tammi 2024) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Satu Rämö’s Hildur series keeps delighting readers all around the world! First this month, Publisher Zaffre has bought the UK English rights to both fourth and fifth volumes of the series: Rakel (WSOY 2024) and Tinna (WSOY 2025). Also, Memento Publishing from Greece has bought the Greek rights to the first two books: Hildur (WSOY 2022) and Rósa and Björk (WSOY 2023), while Forlagið from Iceland has obtained Icelandic rights to the third and fourth volumes of the series, Jakob (WSOY 2023) and Rakel (WSOY 2024). All the series’ books’ rights via Bonnier Rights Finland.

Sanna Sofia Vuori’s and Nadja Sarell’s Mai series has been sold in a 3 book deal in Germany and Estonia: Oetinger and Rahva Raamat have bought the German and Estonian rights to Mai’s Horribly Terrible Day (Main kamalan tyhmä päivä, Tammi 2023), Mai’s Horribly Achy Arm (Main kamalan kipeä käsi, Tammi 2024) and Mai’s Horribly Terrible Playtime (Mai ja kamalan suuri vääryys, Tammi 2025) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Ibis Grafika has emptied the Croatian rights to Sinikka Nopola’s, Tiina Nopola’s and (ill.) Salla Savolainen’s Ruby & Ficelle. The Chicken (Heinähattu, Vilttitossu ja kana, Tammi 2019) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Condor has obtained the Dutch rights to the first two books of Timo Parvela’s and (ill.) Pasi Pitkänen’s Pete series from Bonnier Rights Finland: Pete’s Blog (Paten aikakirjat, Tammi 2014) and Pete’s Football Book (Paten jalkapallokirja, Tammi 2015). The second volume’s Italian rights have also been bought by Camelozampa.

Äripäev has obtained the Estonian rights to Maaret Kallio’s The Power of Two (Tunne hyvä suhde, WSOY 2022) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Oetinger has just made a three-book deal and obtained the German rights to Silja Sillanpää’s written and Pasi Pitkänen’s illustrated Ouroboros series’s books, The Rainbow Snake (Sateenkaarikäärme, WSOY 2024), The Guardian Snake (Haltiakäärme, WSOY 2025) and the third incoming volume. Series from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Pegasus has acquired the Estonian rights to Katja Ojala’s Migraine (Migreeni. Tunnista triggerit nosta ärsykekynnystä, helpota oireita, Atena 2025) from Bonnier Rights Finland.

Bogoo has obtained the Danish rights to third and fourth books of Bjørk Sortland’sJohnny 777 series from Bonnier Rights Finland: Mission 3: Moscow (Mission 3: Moskva, Vigmostad & Bjørke 2021) and Mission 4: Bergen (Vigmostad & Bjørke 2021).

La Martinière keeps publishing Arttu Tuominen’s work: the publisher has just obtained the French rights to the writer’s River Delta series’ fifth volume, The Stager (Lavastaja, WSOY 2024) from Ahlback Agency.

Filia has bought Polish rights to Riikka Jäntti’s Little Mouse’s Fables (Pikku hiiren satulipas, Tammi 2022) from Ahlback Agency.

And last but not least, Publishing House Ranok has acquired the Ukrainian rights to Ulla Onerva’s Cotton Candy Dilemma (Hattaradilemma, Tammi 2025) from Ahlback Agency, congrats!
